We had a blast at the Ask Me Anything (AMA) session with Engines of Fury yesterday. In case you missed it, here’s a recap of the events for you to catch up on!

Mindaugas, Engines of Fury’s (EoF) Community Manager, was nice enough to join us in order to answer some of our community’s questions, as well as to help give away one of the first special edition EoF Unitiger to a lucky participant.

Engines of Fury is an action-packed, Play-2-Earn arena battler with an upcoming IDO. In this AMA, we had the opportunity to learn more about their project directly from the source, while offering up a special edition Engines of Fury Unitiger NFT for one lucky participant!

There are 40 Engines of Fury Unitigers in the wild, with each one granting their puller (or giveaway receiver) up to a $500 allocation in the upcoming Engines of Fury IDO!

Engines of Fury AMA Recap

Participants:

  • Steve (@Sonicfrog77) from Polychain Monsters
  • Mindaugas_EOF — Community Manager at Engines of Fury

Hey Mindaugas — great to have you here today.

Mindaugas: Hey hey, nice to be here! So happy to finally join a Discord AMA, they are so much more fun!

Lets get straight into the questions, shall we?

Question 1: What makes the Engines of Fury stand out more than the projects in the same direction at the moment?

Mindaugas: There are many competitors in the Auto-battler space and many projects of MMORPG games that promised to be released in the coming years. Autobattler-wise we will stand out because:

  • We’ve put a lot of thought into numerous & exciting gameplay modes — no boring mindless grinding over and over again.
  • Our visuals, 3d game scenes, art, and gameplay UX/UI will be top-notch
  • Our multiplayer mode will be played at stakes — meaning that people will wager before a fight, and win other players tokens if victorious, which will give the game its addictive & dopamine-kicking aspect
  • The fighting scenes will be like mini-movies in 3D of champions fighting against each other, rather than cards bashing at each other.

This is how we start rolling in to the crypto gaming once we have autobattler launched and with good player base we will start transitioning to MMORPG, and I think all of you know how difficult is to build one so we start with way more realistic approach to start with autobattler then MMORPG-wise we will stand out because: There are LOTS of promises, but pretty much no games fully released yet, so in a way it’s hard to compare — just a lot of big promises.

Though we will differ in that:

  • Our gamers community will already have played the autobattler game, have invested time into champions, NFT items, etc which will be transferred to the MMORPG game
  • Our gamers community will be able to influence the development of the open world being built — so they will be involved in the game being created
  • We are putting a lot of emphasis on exciting gameplay loops and stunning 3D visuals.
  • Overall we have a solid and addictive game which will be released soon by a team that has done numerous games in the past, which will be gradually expanded into an open world MMORPG built together by us & our players community.

I’ll also put a quick visual for you guys to better understand why we are confident that we will stand out from the rest of the crowd.

Great of you all to have thought of this — it really shows that a lot of effort was put into everything to do with gameplay enjoyment as well as the visual effects.

Question 2: Walk us through the game itself. What is the gameplay experience like? How does crypto fit in? What do players need to get started?

Mindaugas: In short, Engines of Fury is a wager-based 3D arena battler where players can win FURY tokens, create & sell NFTs, and earn profits. Gameplay experience — if I would have to give a reference I would think of Runescape Duel Arena meets Mortal Kombat. Well that doesn’t really explain it does it? Ok, so, check this out while I'm writing…

1. Players buy a champion using $FURY tokens (cost is going to be super low and tied to USDT to ensure players can acquire them)

2. They choose a fighting class, customize a character, and you can play.

3. Choose between 4 gameplay modes, free to play training ground — to learn the mechanics, try out items, spells, combinations, etc.

Boss fights — pay a small entry fee to fight a strong boss in order to win $FURY or NFT recipes.

PVP Duels or Tournaments — Where you will select an amount of $FURY to stake (there’s gonna be tiers ranging from super low amounts to very high amounts for risk takers). Get matched with similar level players and fight to win their staked tokens. (In tournament modes, there will also be NFTs, NFT recipes, and other rewards on top).

Also, there will be other interesting modes: (This one is personally the most exciting for me)

  • Arena master — we will sell shares of arenas. Holders of arena shares will be rewarded a commission from all the fees gathered in our game.
  • Creation of NFTs (or as we call it “forging”). Players will receive NFT recipes from boss fights, special events, and tournaments. Those recipes can be combined to make rare & strong weapons or armor, which can be used by your champions, sold on marketplace, or even immediately destroyed (or as we call it “melted”) to get $FURY tokens immediately.

So this is the game in a nutshell. We have planned to release tons of gameplay demo footage soon, so you will get even more glimpse into how all of this will look like. We usually announce everything on twitter, but if you prefer discord, there is an announcement channel to save you up some time. Second answer done!

Great detailed answers here, I feel like I’m in the game already.

Question 3: Many new projects make a good impression at first but are suddenly abandoned. My question is, how will you manage EoF and the $FURY token to etch a place in the market and become a mainstay in the blockchain sphere?

Mindaugas: First of all, as we have core team members that have been doing games for more than a decade we planned the resources and the fundraise very carefully to sustain the game development.

Secondly, the core team has their tokens locked for more than a year — meaning that they WILL release the game 100%, because the game is supposed to launch within a year.

Thirdly, the core team are gamers themselves. They are super passionate about the project and REALLY just want to make a great game that they themselves would play.

Investor announcement wise, I still don’t want to disclose all information as we will share this with you in the next couple of weeks, so please follow us on twitter and join our telegram for more news…..

But from what we’ve announced so far you can see that we’re working only with the best of the best.

So yeah, I mean, for those who are doing research about our game, check the names, the team, everything is fully transparent, the team is just ELITE, partners are otherworldly. I mean, what else can I add? I’m just happy to be part of this!

Question 4: Do token holders have the right to participate in the governance of the project? What kind of decisions can they vote on about the project? What are the benefits of holding your project token?

Mindaugas: Ahhh, ok. I can tell you a secret. I think starting next week we will start looking for ambassadors that are not yet announced OR posted/confirmed, but yeah, on the other hand, regarding governance.

This is the plan starting in Y2. So we will detail the actual model later on. But in essence it means that the community will be able to vote on i.e. gameplay mechanics to be added, talent trees, skills, or let’s say the areas that we will have in the open world game.

But for now let’s focus on what’s to come SOON. The auto-battler game. To actually play Engines of Fury, you are going to organically need our tokens, to buy champions, fight bosses, fight in the arenas, buy items in the marketplace, etc… The integration between our crypto token and the game will be completely seamless, unlike forced integration in other games. By buying our $FURY token as early as possible, you will reserve your chance to play our game really, really cheaply, as the token price may very much go to the moon!

Question 5: Tell us about the team you’ve assembled to build Engines of Fury. How much work has been done to date?

Mindaugas: I’m really happy with the core team — they are all seasoned professionals with long & successful track records in business development, game development, blockchain projects, marketing & visual aesthetics. All that you need for a successful GameFi project. In total we have more than 30+ people right now, more than half on the game itself, here’s what has been done so far:

  • Investments & Partnerships wise: Private round almost closed with a lot of strong names on it, we’ve announced many already — but that’s not the end of it. We have a longlist of “name-droppers” in the future. No fun in spilling the beans in one go right? Signed partnership agreements with 8 major guilds (more to come): so, quite confident on the uptake of our game = thus high demand for the token, which is good for everybody here.
  • Game development wise: we are quite far ahead already — most of the game models from champions, to arenas, all the item NFTs etcetera are done and ready for deployment. Most of the work now is on the unity side and balancing of the numerous skills/spells/items that we will have to make sure there are no super OP items/spells.

Launchpads: We have announced GameFi and DAO maker already. maybe even more launchpads will be announced — Who knows?

Great to hear this, are you ready for me to open up for some Community questions? I will give them a couple of minutes then close the chat again for you to answer as many as you like.

Community Questions:

1) Роман Долженко: Good afternoon. Will your project be adapted for Russian advertising? If so, then another question. how to become an ambassador?

Mindaugas_EOF: Привет, братaн. Yes, sadly the Russian community has not been created yet. But very soon it will. Regarding ambassadors, I already gave you a secret that probably next week you will be able to start filling out the forms.

2) Katsuyusama: Hi. There are many gaming projects in the market but most of them requires high investment to start to play. Can you please tell us how much Should We Invest to start playing Engines of Fury? Can small investors afford your game?

Mindaugas_EOF: Yeah man, $FURY will be only 0.25$. So if you join early, that shouldn’t be a big issue!

3) Tati: My doubt is about the token launch. When? How will it be? One of the problems we have today, as small investors, is the launch of the token a long before the game and traders ruin it. A lot of games died before they even launched.

Mindaugas_EOF: Tough question. Well we’re planning IDO in these next 2 months. We did not set the date yet, we just want it to come naturally if you can say so. Just waiting for the best opportunity. Regarding arenas, there is a lot that I could tell you, so please join Thursday in our discord and have a chat with me. I want to answer some other questions too!

4) Good Maleficient: Hello. @Mindaugas_EOF How important is the Community for Engines of fury team? Do you plan to educate your community and even non crypto people so more people will know about Engines of fury?

Mindaugas_EOF: I think I’ve answered this via official questions. Community is the priority

5) Ade-carv: What can we expect from our Community, like giveaways and special promotions?

Mindaugas_EOF: Follow our news, and you will see how much we’re planned for you guys

6) The Dog: What is your best estimate when mmorpg will be released? What would speed up the process? more funds, recruiting more devs?

Mindaugas_EOF: I don’t want to talk about plans for next year that much, first let’s launch the autobattler, then everything will go naturally. I think it mostly depends on the player base and community involvement!

7) Anaps: Which game that was “abandoned” were you talking about? Love gossips

Mindaugas_EOF: As i said, not gonna say the name, but it is ‘’stunning’’ both website and all concept art, but there is NO gameplay. I do not like to gossip.

8) TheRog: Where is the team located?

Mindaugas_EOF: Most of the team members are Based in Lithuania, but located?

All around the world! I actually came back from Spain just before Christmas, and now another team member went to Spain.

9) On the website it says that the cost of champions will be tied to USDT. Is this just the case for like the starter champions or does the website need to be updated as you mentioned it’s an advantage to buy in early.

Mindaugas_EOF: Love people like you. Please send me a link or screenshot, we might need to fix it.

10) Katsuyusama: What is the story of Engines of Fury? How did you decide for creating this project and giving this name for it? Are you or any other team members of you a gamer?

Mindaugas_EOF: Well it actually came naturally. We have quite a bit written on the backstory of where the players begin and why. What happened to the world? And what is yet to uncover. So in short — the Engine is the central point of the game’s history, which is used to upgrade and forge weapons and armor so that humanity could take back the world. We are going to be releasing the full lore of the game gradually. Its not going to be as complex and deep as Game of Thrones, but it will definitely come sooner than the promised books haha!

Gamer? Bruh… I play PC games since Iwas 6 years old. I played League of Legends since 2nd week of launch (11 years). One of our board members played Runescape with me since we were teenagers. The whole team are gamers.
