Polychain Monsters Celebrates Its 1 Year Anniversary — A Year in Review

One year ago today, Polychain Monsters officially launched, ushering in a new era to the world of digital collectibles. Today, we’ve evolved into a project that’s so much more, exploring avenues in DeFi, ecosystem partnerships & integrations, gaming, NFT staking, and more.
We’ve grown up in so many ways, and we’d like to celebrate this milestone in our journey with the people who made it possible — all of you!
First, let’s take a moment to look back at just a few of the amazing things we were able to accomplish over the past year to help appreciate just how far we’ve really come:
March (2021)
- Polychain Monsters (then Polkamon) officially launched & completed a highly sought-out IDO, offering $PMON for the very first time
April
- Our booster pack release set a new record for Chainlink VRF calls in any project
- The Polychain Monsters app is launched and $PMON staking goes live
May
- This was a big month for listings, as $PMON found its way onto SushiSwap as well as PancakeSwap as we added $PMON support for Binance Smart Chain
June
- Polkamon rebrands into Polychain Monsters to better represent the mission and goals of the project
- $PMON gets listed on KuCoin
July
- We release our Booster Marketing Campaigns to allow our community a chance to enter IDOs of promising, upcoming projects
- We announced our Play-to-Earn game, Polychain Islands
August
- Polymon World, a community-led 3D multiplayer Play-to-Earn RPG, was announced
- Mystery boxes launched on Binance NFT
- We launched Collector Staking, a novel feature for generating rewards distribution by staking your NFT collection
September
- The Neo Early Adoption Program (exploring our first non-EVM-based network) was revealed
- We transitioned from Staking to Farming on the Polychain Monsters app
December
- Our landing page relaunched into the beautiful display we have now
- $PMON was integrated onto Polygon and listed on QuickSwap
- The alpha release of Polymon World was opened to the public
- The Collector DAO released
February
- The Polychain Islands Land Drop commenced
- Our Reverse Swap feature was released
- The Collection page got an amazing rework in order to better display the information we need it to convey
March (2022)
- Many additional farms crop up, including our new $PMON-$PMLG farms and farming $PMON on Polygon
- $PMLG rewards also came to our Collector Staking feature as another way to reward our collectors for participating in our ecosystem
Whew, what a lot of stuff — and this was just a handful of it! Over these last twelve months, we’ve developed greatly as an entity, growing our team, adding features and continuing to push the limits of what is currently available in the web3 of today’s world.
Our aim is to build a long-term, sustainable, lasting ecosystem that cohesively ties together NFTs, DeFi, gaming and more. New or old, thanks for being a part of the community and encouraging us all the way through.

Eggs?
But what’s a one-year celebration without a callback to the event that started it all? The #ClaimYourEgg campaign back in March of 2021 was the spark that set us off on the amazing journey we’re currently on, so it seems only fitting to revisit it exactly one year later.
At the start, our fans were able to gain access to the $PMON IDO on Polkastarter through minting special “eggs”. In fact, the event itself saw over 127,000 participants, who ended up burning over $1 million in gas fees on Ethereum.
Collectors far and wide clamored to secure their eggs - and a chance at them hatching into the Polkastarter/Moonrock/Morningstar Babydragon - which would give them access to our inaugural IDO event.
While a handful of these eggs hatched into very rare Babydragons, the remaining 200 have laid dormant — until now!
After a full year of incubation, all remaining Polkastarter and Moonrock x Morningstar Eggs can begin their hatching sequence with the start of our anniversary event!
What will they yield, you ask? Each and every single one of them will become an incredibly rare Satoshi Babydragon.
The Satoshi Babydragon is a special type of Babydragon, which comes with a new, never-before-seen perk. Owning one confers a special set of privileges onto its holder, giving them access to free, holder-only raffles for limited IDO spots from various partner projects. In order to qualify, you simply need to own a Satoshi Babydragon. That’s it!
